CAPS has a strong volunteer community who are essential to our success. They generously donate their time, skills and expertise to deliver a vital service to those in need.
We are always looking to for passionate and dedicated people to join our fantastic team.
I’ve really enjoyed working with CAPS’ volunteers and staff to develop ongoing relationships with childcare centres and evaluate outcomes of high-quality educational programs. In fact, I now have a paid position with CAPS, which involves evaluating research and drafting scientific journal articles for publication with Dr Reina Michaelson to further inform the Australian community about the positive impact of its programs and services.
CAPS is a great cultural fit for me, given my background experience and undergraduate education in psychology and science. I’d recommend anyone to join our team, particularly those people who have a desire to make real-world social change…Volunteers are offered rewarding experiences to develop their skills while giving back to their local communities…
Our Volunteers are supported to:
- facilitate the Playgroup
- assist with childcare during group activities
- document statistical information
- serve on the Board
- organise and maintain our resources
- assist with administrative tasks, and many other activities.
